A design office dedicated to performance

At Guillemin, the automation design office is involved from the earliest design phases, working closely with the mechanical design office. This synergy allows for the development of high-performance, reliable solutions that are perfectly adapted to the specific needs of each client.

Based on the specifications, our automation engineers develop the parts lists as well as the electrical and pneumatic diagrams. This essential step ensures a design that complies with current safety standards, thus ensuring the safe operation of the machines.

Our automation engineers design the PLC program, the heart of the machine's control, taking into account the customer's specific needs: cycles, operating sequences, and an intuitive human-machine interface (HMI). This is followed by the workshop development phase, where sensors are adjusted, settings refined, and each operating mode is tested and proven. Finally, they handle on-site installation, commissioning, and training to ensure rapid and confident adoption.

A committed, versatile and on-the-ground team that transforms each project into a concrete, functional and secure solution.

Cutting-edge technologies for reliability

At Guillemin, we have made the strategic choice to standardize our component portfolio to ensure robustness, ease of maintenance, and technical expertise. This approach optimizes development time and strengthens our expertise in the equipment used.

By collaborating with recognized partners such as Siemens, Schneider, Stäubli, Festo, Kistler, Keyence and Fanuc, we offer our customers cutting-edge technologies combining reliability and performance.

Robotics: a driver of innovation and performance

Robotics is at the heart of our innovation approach, with a clear objective: to improve the overall performance of machines. It optimizes cycle times, precision, and repeatability, while automating repetitive or arduous tasks to improve working conditions over the long term.

Thanks to our partnerships with Stäubli, ABB and Fanuc, we integrate robots adapted to the constraints of each project: Handling, assembly, control or packaging.

Exciting technical challenges: The new generation standard box

One of the most current and exciting challenges is human-machine interface (HMI) design. Similar to smartphones, users expect seamless navigation, intuitive screens, and quick access to information. With this in mind, the new standard box was developed, a landmark project recently led by the team.

This box features a completely redesigned HMI: sleek design, clear pictograms, and reduced text for better international understanding. Beyond the aesthetic aspect, the team has furthered the standardization and optimization of the product, simplifying its use while maintaining great flexibility. This allows us today to remain both competitive in the market and more agile in our processes.

Active and collaborative technological monitoring and cross-functional work to promote innovation

To offer ever more efficient and sustainable solutions, Guillemin relies on active and collaborative technological monitoring: supplier visits, participation in trade fairs, discussions with customers who are themselves engaged in innovation... All levers to anticipate developments and integrate the most relevant technologies into our solutions.

This approach is part of a cross-functional effort within the company. Automation engineers collaborate closely with project managers, mechanical project managers, cable installers, fitters, and after-sales service. This synergy between departments guarantees consistent, robust solutions that are perfectly adapted to our customers' needs.

The user at the center of priorities

For an automation engineer, customer satisfaction is measured by the ease of use of the machine. A clear interface, information accessible at the right time, careful ergonomics, and integrated safety features: everything is designed to ensure the user feels independent, confident, and relaxed every day.

Joining the automation division means joining a team passionate about technology and concrete projects. Curiosity and a collaborative spirit are the keys to progressing in a company on a human scale where each project is a new opportunity to grow.
